17th-century brown calf; border of gilt and blind double fillets; inner frame of gilt double fillets with corner fleurons; both covers stamped in gilt with the English royal arms (Stuart), in the Garter, surmounted by a crown; single gilt rule on board edges; smooth spine with gilt and blind fillets and gilt roll at head and tail; red morocco spine label; traces of two pairs of ties or clasps.
