Letter from Rothschild to the Master of Trinity College concerning the bequest of his personal library to the college in 1951. Rothschild expresses his anger about the lack of proper care and conservation devoted to his collection, which features a number of 1st editions, fragile bindings and manuscripts. Annexes to the letter include the original agreement between Rothschild and the College about the donation, a letter to the Master of Trinity from Rothschild speculating about the possibility of donating his collection, references to book conservators and a typed transcription of a ms. note that Rothschild refers to in his open letter.
